Shavonne Hamilton is a teenage girl who is trying to live on her own and studying at TCC in her second semester.
“It probably is staying dedicated to being in school because sometimes I really don’t want to get up to go to school,” Hamilton said. “Other days, I really want to skip but still staying dedicated because I spent money on this.”
She really wants to make the most of her life with school, and she believes that education is important to her life.
Currently, she is still living with her parents who are inspiring her, and she is working at a daycare job.
“I teach kids, and I learn from them,” she said.
She loves to work with babies and has a flexible schedule from her manager to take classes at TCC.
She hasn’t decided which career she is going to choose but plans to transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington.
